The following is the escalation of assistance guidelines you must follow when doing homework that you need assistance on.

Tutoring hours are from:

3:30 PM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday

11 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays.

During the first class session we will take time for students to make a list of five classmates and their contact information for homework assistance. You MAY NOT contact a classmate after 9 PM. If you do, you will not receive any credit for that assignment. We must respect each other’s homes.

If you make it all the way to escalation of assistance level #8, you must abide by the following instructions:

Your parent must initiate the call.
Your parent will then be asked to put the phone on speaker for the duration of the call.
You may then get on the phone and we will discuss the issue you are having.
Once we have addressed the issue, your parent must get back on the phone to end the call.

You may not call me after 9 PM. So plan ahead to do your homework in a timely manner.

Escalation of Assistance

Check you class notes for clarification on the homework.
If that is not helpful enough, check your textbook for examples and an in depth explanation of the material.
Compare the problem to similar problems done on in-class assignments.
Use Kahn Academy to gain clarification on the problem at hand.
Ask your parents to help you clarify what is being asked.
Contact your classmates for assistance on the problem. If you only get the answer, instead of clarification, you will not receive credit.
If you are having consistent issues with the homework assignments, see me after class for tutoring.
If you have exhausted al of your resources and followed the escalation of assistance but still are having immense trouble with the assignment you may contact me for assistance, following the specific instructions for doing so.
